Mellin Pastina Stelline Recipe

Mellin Pastina Stelline Recipe

Mellin Pastina Stelline is a comforting, tiny star-shaped pasta often prepared for babies and toddlers. It’s light, easy to digest, and a perfect first step into the world of solid foods. Here’s how you can prepare it at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons Mellin Pastina Stelline (or any small star-shaped pasta)
  • 1 cup vegetable broth (or plain water for a lighter taste)
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for toddlers)

Instructions:

  1. Boil the broth or water
In a small pot, bring the vegetable broth (or water) to a gentle boil.
  2. Add the pastina
Stir in the Mellin Pastina Stelline and cook for about 4–5 minutes, or until the pasta is soft and tender. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking.
  3. Finish with flavor (optional)
For babies over 6 months: you can add a drizzle of olive oil for healthy fats.
For toddlers: sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese for taste.
  4. Serve warm
Let it cool slightly before serving. The texture should be soft, creamy, and easy for little ones to enjoy.

Tips:

  • For babies under 1 year, avoid adding salt.
  • You can prepare it with homemade vegetable broth for extra nutrition.
  • For a creamier consistency, add a small spoon of baby formula, breast milk, or mashed veggies before serving.
